Community Service Politala Academic Civitas for Village Economic Development

Politala- Community Service (PkM) is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and activities that are routinely carried out by the academic community of the Tanah Laut State Polytechnic. This time the PkM activities were carried out by the Agroindustry Study Program and Politala Accounting Study Program at the Kunyit Village Office, Tanah Laut Regency. (16/11)

This PkM activity was led by Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs Politala Ir. Nuryati S.T. M.Eng, followed by the Head of Agricultural Industrial Technology Nina Hairiyah S.T.P. M.Si, Coordinator of Accounting Study Program Rina Pebriana, S.E., M.Comm, lecturers and students of Agroindustry Study Program and Politala Accounting Study Program.

Kunyit Village was chosen as the place for PkM activities to be carried out, because Kunyit Village has the potential for agricultural and plantation products that can be processed into superior village products, such as bananas and sweet potatoes.

The Politala group was welcomed by the Kunyit Village Head of General Affairs and Planning, Rosim Budianto and the Kunyit Village officials and attended by several representatives of the Kunyit Village community.

The lecturers from the Agroindustry Study Program at this PkM presented material about processing innovations made from sweet potatoes, to product packaging innovations to make them more attractive to market.

Meanwhile, the Accounting Study Program lecturer explained material on product marketing through creative promotions and financial bookkeeping for MSME actors in Kunyit Village.

Deputy Director I Politala Nuryati said the task of lecturers was not only teaching but also required to carry out research and community service.

“Hopefully the research we do, the service we carry out can provide benefits to the community,” said Nuryati.

All invited guests who were present at the Kunyit Village Office were very enthusiastic about participating in the presentation of material given by the lecturers of the Agroindustry Study Program and Politala Accounting Study Program.

At the end of the activity, Rosim Budianto thanked the Politala group for carrying out PkM activities in Kunyit village.

Rosim continued that this activity was very beneficial for the people of Kunyit Village, especially the home industry players and MSMEs. “Hopefully for the people who have participated in this PkM, they can apply the knowledge that has been conveyed by the presenters,” concluded Rosim. Hms_Politala
